VP Corporate Development Uber
Cameron is the Head of Corporate Development at Uber, his responsibilities include fundraising (global and China), M&A / corporate strategy, and business operations.
Prior to joining Uber as Head of Corporate Development, Cameron had over 17 years of global investment banking experience at Goldman Sachs, advising some of the most sophisticated and demanding clients (from Fortune 50 companies to pre-IPO start-ups backed by leading VC firms) on numerous complex, high-profile M&A transactions, IPOs and other financings across five continents.
Cameron has spent the majority of his career focused on the technology/media/telecom space, with a particular emphasis on internet and entertainment. He has also worked with companies in the consumer, financial, healthcare, natural resources, industrial, and real estate sectors. His clients have included numerous industry leaders and innovators.
Cameron has extensive international experience, including dealing with the structural and cultural complexities of cross-border transactions. In addition to the US, Cameron has worked on deals in China, India, Japan, SE Asia, Latin America, Europe and Australia.
Prior to GS, Cameron earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and then worked for a year post-grad with the HBS Finance Faculty on research and case-writing, with a focus on derivatives, hedging and liability management.
Prior to HBS, Cameron was a consultant at Booz & Co in Australia, focusing on both hands-on operational issues (forecasting, sales force & marketing optimization, product profitability, etc.) and broader strategic and organizational considerations.
