Managing Director - Qualcomm Ventures
Patrick is the Managing Director of Qualcomm Ventures North America and leads all U.S. investments. He previously launched Qualcomm Ventures’ Bay Area practice and started the Global Early Stage Fund, focused on Seed and Series A opportunities. This fund has scaled to 60+ global investments which include Cruise (acquired by GM), Even, Matterport and Zoom. While he works closely with nearly all the early stage portfolio companies around the world, he actively sourced or serves as a Board Member/Observer for investments in Blippar, Clarifai, Matterport, Navdy, OpenSignal, Sense360, Swift Nav and Zoom. Prior investments (exits) include Aicent, Avaak (acquired by NTGR) Divide (acquired by GOOG) Clicker (acquired by CBS), Starmaker, Tempo.AI (acquired by CRM), ThinkNear (acquired by TNAV) and Viewdle (acquired by GOOG).
Prior to joining Qualcomm Ventures, Patrick worked for Salomon Smith Barney’s Investment Banking unit in their Chicago, London and Hong Kong offices. He was a member of their Global Telecommunications team, involved in both M&A advisory roles and capital-raising transactions. Patrick has an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
