Umair is Chairman of Folio3 a software innovation partner to entrepreneurs in big companies and small. Umair is also founder and CEO of SecretBuilders, a company that makes engaging and enriching mobile games for children. Umair is a Venture Partner with The Entrepreneurs’ Fund (TEF III), an early stage venture fund. Previously, Umair co-founded Clickmarks Inc., a mobile software company acquired by Semotus Inc. in 2005. Umair also co-founded Wordwalla Inc., a multilingual software solutions startup, acquired in 2001 by Morisawa Corporation. In 1997, Umair co-founded Chowk, a pioneering social network focused on South Asia. Umair started his career at Intel Corporation and has over 20 industry patents.
Umair is a founder of OPEN Silicon Valley (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs) and a Henry Crown Fellow at The Aspen Institute. Umair received his BS in Math (1992) and MS in EE/CS (1995) from MIT.
